PS5 powering on with the fan spinning and the light on, but nothing on the TV? Before you write the console off, look into the HDMI socket with a torch. If any of the flat gold pins inside are bent, pushed back, or missing, that is the whole fault — the console is fine.
It happens the same way almost every time: a PS5 stood upright gets knocked, or someone trips the cable, and the weight of the console levers against the connector. The port takes the damage so the board does not.
Brand new replacement HD socket, HDMI compatible.
This is board-level work. The old port has to come off with hot air and the new one reflowed onto the pads — a soldering iron alone will not do it. You need a rework station, flux, and experience, or a shop that has them. This part is priced for the repair, not the risk: if you have never done SMD rework, practise on a dead board first.
Fits: PS5 Fat and PS5 Slim.
Does not fit: PS4, PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro or Xbox consoles — every one uses a different socket.
Worth checking the cable and a second TV input first. A bad HDMI cable produces exactly the same black screen and costs nothing to rule out.
