Aim drifting with your thumb nowhere near the stick?
That is the analog module inside the controller, not the rubber cap on top of it. The potentiometer wears a flat spot and starts reporting movement that is not happening. Cleaning it, recalibrating it and adjusting the dead zone all buy you a few days at best - a worn pot only gets worse.
Direct replacement module for OEM Xbox One, Series S and Series X pads. Soldering required: the old assembly has to come off the board and this one goes on in its place. Not compatible with the Elite Series 2, which uses a different design.
