Email usThe full rundown
Xbox One thumbsticks wear out faster than almost any other part of the controller. The textured rubber goes smooth, then the edge starts to peel, and suddenly your thumb is sliding off in the middle of a firefight. These are direct replacement thumbstick caps. They pull off and push on with your fingers, so there is nothing to open and nothing to solder.
What this fixes
- Bald, shiny thumbsticks with the grip texture worn away
- Rubber that has torn, split or peeled off at the rim
- Sticky or gummy sticks on a controller that has been stored a while
- Your thumb slipping off the stick during shooters and racing games
What you get
Sold as a pair, which is both sticks on one controller. Black, rubberized, with the concave dish top that matches the factory Xbox One profile.
Fits
- Xbox One controller, all revisions
- Xbox One S controller
- Xbox One X controller
Does not fit
Xbox 360 controllers, which use a different stem, or the Xbox Elite Series 2, which uses swappable magnetic sticks instead of pressed-on caps. We stock separate covers for the Xbox 360 and the Series X|S.
How to install
- Pinch the old cap at its base and pull straight up off the plastic stem.
- Line the new cap up over the stem.
- Press down until it sits flush against the controller shell.
Under a minute per stick. You never have to open the controller.

Common questions
Will this fix stick drift? No. Drift comes from the analog stick module inside the controller, not the rubber cap on top. These covers restore grip and appearance only. If your aim wanders with nothing touching the stick, you need a replacement joystick assembly.
Do I need one pair or two? One pair covers both sticks on a single controller.
Will these fit an Xbox Series X or S controller? Often yes, the stems are very similar, but we list Series X|S covers separately for an exact match.
Are these official Microsoft parts? No, they are third-party replacements built to the original dimensions.
