A translucent smoke gray replacement housing for the Super Nintendo, top and bottom.
Fits: the original full size SNES. Your board, cartridge slot, controller ports and eject mechanism transfer across.
The honest cure for a yellowed SNES. The SNES is the worst offender of its generation for going brown, because of the bromine flame retardant in the original plastic. Retrobrighting it works but is not permanent and the 2025 long-term study found it makes the plastic more brittle over time. A new shell is the permanent answer and it will never yellow again.
You will need a 4.5mm security bit to open the SNES. Nintendo used tamper-proof screws. We sell the bits and replacement security screws separately.
This is cosmetic, not a repair. If games will not load, that is the 62-pin connector, which we also sell.
