The honest cure for a yellowed SNES. The SNES is the worst offender of its generation for going brown. Retrobrighting works but is not permanent, and the 2025 long-term study found it leaves the plastic more brittle. A new shell never yellows again.
Clear shows everything. That is the appeal and the warning. A clear shell puts the board, the dust and any previous repair work on display, so clean everything properly before it goes in. Smoke gray is the forgiving option and we list that too.
