The Hyperkin RetroN 5 plays original cartridges from ten systems through one HDMI output, with save states, cheat support and per-game video filters.
Plays: NES and Famicom, SNES and Super Famicom, Genesis and Mega Drive, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. Five cartridge slots on top. Master System works through a Power Base Converter.
In the box: the console, an HDMI cable, a USB power lead and one Bluetooth controller. The controller is wireless and rechargeable.
Worth knowing, and it matters: the RetroN 5 reads real cartridges but plays them through emulation rather than original chips. That means save states and filters, but also that a handful of games with unusual mappers or special chips do not run correctly. If you want cycle-accurate hardware behaviour, an FPGA console or the original machine is the honest answer. If you want ten systems in one box under the TV with your real carts, this is the easiest way to get there.
Audio note: expansion audio on Famicom carts is supported, which several cheaper clones get wrong.
