Email usThe full rundown
The original GameCube pad has two well-known problems after twenty years: the stick gets loose in its gate, and the cable is short enough that you sit on the floor. The BladeGC fixes the second outright by going wireless, and gives you a modern symmetrical stick layout instead of the offset original.
What this fixes
- A worn control stick with a wide dead zone
- A 6-foot cable that keeps you pinned to the console
- Wanting one pad that also works on Switch and PC
What you get
A wireless GameCube-style controller with pressure-sensitive analog triggers, a responsive D-pad, and symmetrical analog sticks. The symmetrical layout suits modern titles; the analog triggers matter for the GameCube games that actually used them, like the Rogue Squadron series and Luigi's Mansion.
Fits
- Nintendo GameCube
- Wii models with GameCube controller ports
- Game Boy Player
- Nintendo Switch and PC
Does not fit
Wii Family Edition and Wii Mini, which had the GameCube ports removed.

Common questions
Is the stick layout like an original GameCube pad? No. The sticks are symmetrical rather than offset, which is the main feel difference.
Do the analog triggers work properly? Yes, they are pressure-sensitive, so the half-press games read correctly.
Will it work for Smash? It works on the hardware. Competitive players usually prefer an OEM pad for the stick gate, so judge it on feel.
