PS4 Pro or Slim powering up — fan running, light on — but nothing on the TV? Shine a torch into the HDMI socket before you assume the console is dead. If any of the flat gold pins inside are bent, pushed back or missing, that is the entire fault and the board is fine.
It nearly always happens the same way: someone trips over the cable, or the console gets moved with the lead still in, and the connector takes the leverage.
Brand new replacement HD socket, HDMI compatible.
This is board-level work. The old port has to come off with hot air and the new one reflowed onto the pads. A soldering iron alone will not do it — you need a rework station, flux and practice, or a shop that has them.
Fits: PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim.
Does not fit: the original PS4 (fat), which uses a different socket — see our PS4 original port.
Rule out the cable and a second TV input first. A failing HDMI lead gives you exactly the same black screen and costs nothing to test.
