Original PS4 turning on but showing nothing on screen? Before you replace the console, look into the HDMI socket with a torch. Bent, flattened or missing gold pins inside are the most common cause by a distance — and the rest of the board is usually untouched.
The damage is almost always mechanical: a cable trodden on, or the console moved while still plugged in, levering against the port.
Brand new replacement HD socket, HDMI compatible.
This is board-level work. The old socket comes off with hot air and the new one is reflowed onto the pads. An iron on its own will not do it — you need a rework station, flux and some practice, or a shop that has them.
Fits: original PS4 (fat) — CUH-1000 through CUH-1200.
Does not fit: PS4 Slim or PS4 Pro, which use a different socket — see our PS4 Pro / Slim port.
