We order it in for you

Order today, arrives Nov 17 - Nov 20

We do not hold this one on the shelf. We raise the order with our wholesaler, it comes to us, we check it and we pack it, within 7 business days. Then 2 to 5 business days with USPS.

Business days, so weekends do not count. Public holidays can push the later date out. Shipping to Canada adds roughly 5 to 15 business days and customs can extend that, so we do not promise a date there.

Free shipping on orders over $50

The full rundown

A complete replacement capacitor set for Sony PlayStation 1 Nichicon Type 797MA power boards.

Fits this board number: 1-468-307-12 (Nichicon ZSSR797MA). The number is printed on the power board itself.

Covers: C003 100uF 200v, C101 and C102 560uF 16v, C103 and C104 180uF 16v, C105 2.2uF 50v and C106 1uF 50v.

Check your board before ordering. The two Nichicon boards are close but not identical: the 797MA uses 560uF at C102 where the 694MA uses 820uF. Read the number off the board rather than guessing.

This is the first thing to check on a dead PS1. Power board capacitors fail far more often than the laser does, and a tired power board starves the laser, which makes a perfectly good drive look worn out.

Worth knowing: mains-side work. Unplug the console and let it sit before opening it.
