The full rundown

Cracked hinge, yellowed plastic, or a DS that has been dropped one too many times?

The original DS is twenty years old now and the hinge is its weak point. Once it cracks the top screen wobbles, and the ribbon cable running through the hinge is what suffers next - so a cracked shell is worth fixing before it becomes a dead screen.

Complete replacement housing for the original 'fat' Nintendo DS (NTR-001), with a full set of buttons included. Your own screens, board and battery move across into it.

This is a full teardown. Plan on an hour, a tri-wing driver, and somewhere to keep the screws in order.
