The circle pad is the part of a 3DS that gets touched more than anything else, and the gray rubber cap on top is the first thing to go. It polishes smooth, the rim tears, or it comes off entirely and leaves the bare plastic slider underneath. This is a direct replacement circle pad cap for the 3DS and 2DS family. It presses on by hand, so nothing needs to be opened.

Common questions
Will this fix a circle pad that drifts or sticks? No. Drift comes from the slider module under the cap. If the cursor moves on its own, you need the full circle pad assembly.
Is this an original Nintendo part? No, it is a third-party replacement made to the original dimensions.
Does it stay on? Yes. It grips the slider by friction the same way the factory cap does.
