N64 showing a black screen, or refusing to boot at all? Before you assume the console is dead, check the expansion slot on top. Every N64 shipped with a Jumper Pak in that slot and the console will not run without something in it. They get pulled out, lost in a move, or thrown away by someone who thought it was a dust cover — and a perfectly good console gets written off as broken.
Direct replacement. Pull the plastic cap off the slot, push the old pak out, seat this one, refit the cap. No tools.
Important — this is a terminator, not a memory upgrade. A Jumper Pak completes the memory bus; it does not add RAM. Games that require the 4MB Expansion Pak (Donkey Kong 64, Majora's Mask, Perfect Dark's full campaign) still need that instead.
Fits: all Nintendo 64 consoles, any region.
