The Hyperkin RetroN 5 in the Hyper Beach colourway, a translucent teal and coral finish rather than the standard black.
Plays: NES and Famicom, SNES and Super Famicom, Genesis and Mega Drive, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. Five cartridge slots on top, one HDMI out.
In the box: the console, an HDMI cable, a USB power lead and one Bluetooth controller.
Worth knowing, and it matters: the RetroN 5 reads real cartridges but plays them through emulation rather than original chips. That gives you save states, cheats and video filters, but it also means a handful of games with unusual mappers or special chips do not run correctly. If you want cycle-accurate hardware, an FPGA console or the original machine is the honest answer.
Mechanically identical to the black RetroN 5, which we also list. This is purely the colour.
