We order it in for you

Order today, arrives Nov 17 - Nov 20

We do not hold this one on the shelf. We raise the order with our wholesaler, it comes to us, we check it and we pack it, within 7 business days. Then 2 to 5 business days with USPS.

Business days, so weekends do not count. Public holidays can push the later date out. Shipping to Canada adds roughly 5 to 15 business days and customs can extend that, so we do not promise a date there.

Free shipping on orders over $50

The full rundown

A complete replacement capacitor set for the Game Gear VA5 board, the later Majesco revision.

Fits: the VA5 Majesco board only. We also sell sets for the VA0/VA1 and VA4 boards, which are different.

Identify your board first. Open the console and read the revision printed on the board. Buying the wrong set means the capacitor values and footprints will not match. If you are unsure, photograph the board and email us before ordering.

Fixes: no sound, sound that crackles or cuts, a dark or rolling picture, and a console that will not power on. On a Game Gear these are almost always the capacitors rather than anything more serious.

Worth knowing: the Game Gear is the single most recap-dependent console of its era. Leaking capacitors also corrode the traces around them, so the longer a dead one sits, the more there is to repair. If yours is dead, recapping it is not optional maintenance, it is the repair.
