GBA cartridge lost your save, or the in-game clock stopped? Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, Boktai, and anything else with a real-time clock rely on a small 3V cell soldered inside the cartridge. Those cells are past twenty years old now and most are flat — the game still plays, it just forgets everything the moment you switch off.
Fresh CR1616 lithium cell with the solder tabs already spot-welded on, so you are soldering two tabs to the board rather than trying to solder a bare battery (which ruins it).
This is a soldered repair and it needs a tri-wing bit to open the cartridge.
Fits: Game Boy Advance cartridges that save or keep time — Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald (clock), Boktai and similar.
Does not fit: Game Boy / Game Boy Color carts, which use CR2025, or NES / SNES / Genesis carts, which use CR2032.
