The kickstand snapped off your Switch

Switch · Symptom guide
The flimsy plastic flap on the back has snapped off, or it no longer holds the console upright.
The original Switch kickstand is a thin piece of plastic on a small hinge, and Nintendo made it the one part that is designed to come off rather than break the console. It is the most commonly broken part on the system by a wide margin.
Check this before you buy anything
-
Check whether it has simply popped out rather than snapped
It is designed to detach. Look at the hinge pins before assuming it is broken.
-
Look inside the recess for the microSD slot
The slot lives under the kickstand. If that is damaged too, you have a bigger job.
If every one of those comes back clean, now it is worth buying a part.
If that did not fix it, here is the part
Before you order
Original Switch only, HAC-001 and HAC-001-01. Clips into the same recess with no tools. The Switch Lite has no kickstand at all.
What this is not
This is not the OLED stand. The OLED model has a wide adjustable stand that is a completely different part.
